Governor Lonyangapuo Commissions Post Anaesthesia Care Unit
Governor Prof. John Lonyangapuo has
underscored his administration’s
commitment to ease access to quality health services for all
residents.
Speaking while opening and
commissioning the new (PACU) at the
Kapenguria Referral Hospital, the president
said the launch of the facility has added yet another arrow in the
county’s quiver in its journey towards
quality health care for its people.
“We are making these investments in recognition of the fact that our people need to be able to find health solutions within the county” the governor said.
The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to offer comprehensive post-anaesthesia management services and is part of the county’s efforts to attain quality healthcare.
The unit can handle three patients at any given time and this gives patients close monitoring before they are discharged to ward after surgery.
The governor also opened a Doctors' Lounge at the County Referral Facility which is connected with WiFi to enable doctors work from the facility. It was part of the Doctors Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) that the county has fulfilled.
