Today morning Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Programme Coordinator Mr. Robert Allport paid a visit to the governor’s office.
He was hosted by the Acting County Secretary Dr. Michael Parklea. Also present were Mr. Francis Kitelauyan-CEC Finance and Economic Planning, Mrs. Ruth Kisabit-CEC Public Service, ICT and Devolved Units, Mr. Arumonyang Joel- CEC Lands, Housing, Physical Planning and Urban Development And Mr. Geoffrey Lipale-CEC Pastoral Economy, Agriculture and Irrigation.


Mr. Sebastian Menza was introduced at the meeting as the Fao’s Land Technical Officer in the county. With all the involved departments present, the move assured the FAO Team of the support they will receive from the county and on their part they will sensitize and capacity build the local residents attainment of Vision 2030 through Devolved Land Reforms in Kenya.


Mr. Allport assured the county of the continuation of the organization’s programmes in helping build a food-secure county, free of hunger and malnutrition, where food and agriculture contribute to improving the living standards of all in an economically, socially and environmentally sustainable manner.
