County Budget and Economic Forum (CBEF) induction

West Pokot County through the Department of Finance and Planning has held a Budget and Economic Forum (CBEF) induction in adherence to the stipulations within the Public Finance Management Act of 2012, Section 137.
Governor Simon Kachapin flanked by his deputy graced the induction workshop held at Sirikwa Hotel in Eldoret supported by USAID-KUZA, underscored the county's commitment to financial transparency and public involvement.


The three-day workshop strives to refine budgeting approach, aligning it with the community's needs and aspirations while streamlining project implementation and funding allocation.
The induction training facilitated by the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) also encompassed facilitating consultations for the county government on the formulation of county plans, the County Fiscal Strategy Paper, and the Budget Review and Outlook Paper.
The workshop will further delve into matters budgeting, economic strategies, and financial management at the county level, ensuring compliance with the consultation process as enshrined in the laws governing county governments.
