COUNTY DIRECTORS MEET FOR AGRICULTURAL SHOW PREPARATIONS.

County directors convened to review feedback from recent Governor Simon Kachapin 's visit to Kishaunet Showground where he inspected the progress of the upcoming West Pokot County Agricultural Show and Trade Fair scheduled for November 8th to 11th, 2023.


The meeting was chaired by Peter Kodwaran, the County Director of Agriculture and Irrigation with the primarily agenda centered on post-show analysis and revenue collection strategies.

Directors from various departments within County Government of West Pokot engaged in discussions regarding the meticulous preparation for the forthcoming event. Even the prison officers expressed their readiness to support the roadshow with their services. This event is vital for showcasing the county's rich agricultural ventures and highlighting what West Pokot County has to offer.


Under the theme of "Promoting Climate-Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth," the event aims to underscore the importance of sustainable practices in both agriculture and trade. Peter Kodwaran, in his leadership role, emphasized the need to make the show vibrant and successful, with a strong emphasis on engaging a large number of people to attend.

In the course of the meeting, plans were formulated for essential logistics all in preparation for what promises to be an exciting and informative event for West Pokot County.
