Equity bank continues to support Kapenguria County Referral Hospital in the fight against Covid-19

The Department of Health and Sanitation led by CECM Claire Parklea has today received medical items from Equity Bank- Kapenguria Branch as part of the bank’s 2020 initiatives to support health facilities in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.


Frontline public healthcare staff dealing with COVID-19 patients in addition to trainings on case management, and on the application and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE’s) and on psychosocial support to help them cope with the daily challenges occasioned by their service in the fight against COVID-19 in the country, Equity Group Foundation and Kenya Covid-19 Fund has continue to support public health facility in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic especially in donations of PPEs and other medicals items. 


The branch Manager James Biwott said the items were the last batch of the initiative started as a response to the Covid-19 outbreak that paralyzed medical services across the country.


Mr. Biwott affirmed the bank’s commitment to continue working with the county in key areas such as health and education to improve health services and provide affordable education.

CEC Parklea was accompanied by Chief Officer Nelly Soprin and other officers from the department.
