International Women’s Day is marked annually on 8th March to commemorate women's achievements and raise awareness about gender disparities and discrimination, as well as promote global support for women.
The first lady Scovia Chebet Kachapin together with the second lady Christine Komolle started off this day by visiting women prisoners at Kapenguria women prison.
