Governor Simon Kachapin held discussions with the International Rescue Committee (IRC)

Governor Simon Kachapin held discussions with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) aimed at strengthening collaborations for sustainable future interventions at their Nairobi office. 

This meeting coincides with the nearing conclusion of the pilot phase of the Combined Protocol for Acute Malnutrition Study (ComPAS), a unified approach for treating acute malnutrition.

 

ComPAS, currently in operation in West Pokot and Central Pokot Sub-Counties, marks a pivotal milestone in addressing acute malnutrition. The meeting served as a platform for discussions on innovative strategies to ensure the continued success of such initiatives, underscoring the commitment to improving the well-being of the region's residents.

 The governor was accompanied by County Executive Committee member for Health and Sanitation Claire Parklea among other officials from the County Department of Health and Sanitation.
