Governor Simon Kachapin Meets the new West County Pokot County Commissioner

Governor Simon Kachapin has expressed his full commitment to closely work with the national government to address key issues such as insecurity and foster overall development.

This follows his meeting with the incoming County Commissioner Abdulahi Khalif and outgoing County Commissioner Apollo Okelo at Governor’s Residence, Kapenguria.

Governor Kachapin extended a warm welcome to the new commissioner and pledged his full support. The new commissioner previously served in West Pokot county as DCC.

County’s collaboration with the National Government has seen security improvements along border areas where as a result, security has greatly improved.

Also present were Pokot central deputy county commissioner Jeremiah Tumo, David Boen DCC-Pokot South, Sheila Imbaga-DCC Kipkomo, Keneth Kiprop- DCC Kacheliba representative, and Emily Ogola DCC West Pokot.
