Kapenguria Ward Youths called to join technical colleges to nurture their skills and talents.

H.E Scovia Chebet Kachapin flanked by area Member of County Assembly, Richard Mastaluk launched a Scholarship Program by the Office of the Member of County Assembly, Kapenguria Ward to 79 youths who will join Kapenguria Technical and Vocational Training College on a full scholarship.

This initiatives not only reduces the illiteracy levels of the county but also empowers the youths to depend on themselves.
Through the County Government of West Pokot office of Special Programs and Office of the First Lady, 11 centres in 11 wards have been started on hairdressing and tailoring with 26 trainers at the ward administrators offices.
Speaking during the launch, the first lady emphasized the need to empower the youths through training that will benefit them socioeconomically.

Youths who will join Kapenguria Technical and Vocational Training College will train on electrical and electronics engineering, hairdressing and beauty therapy, plumbing, building construction and masonry, fashion and design, food and beverages, driving, carpentry, motor vehicle mechanic and ICT.

To first lady on her capacity fully sponsored 2 student to pay for their driving lessons and promised to continue to work with other leaders whose vision for the county is bright.
