Nasukuta Export Abattoir stands out as a structurally robust meat processing facility within the nation.

In a meeting with representatives from the Frontier Counties Development Council (FCDC), led by Abdirahman Abbas, the Program Manager of FCDC, it was emphasized that Nasukuta Abattoir aligns with international standards. Once operational, it is anticipated that this development will propel the county toward sustainable growth.
Governor Simon Kachapin affirmed the county's commitment to fostering sustainable development. He underscored the county's ongoing dedication to enhancing the abattoir. Part of this effort includes the introduction of new livestock breeds in Nasukuta. This initiative aims to transform Nasukuta into a breeding and demonstration hub, encouraging more farmers to adopt innovative agricultural practices.
Mr. Abbas, representing FCDC, expressed the council's commitment to supporting the county. Their support will encompass endeavors such as fodder production and various programs geared toward elevating livestock production. He acknowledged the county's substantial potential in the livestock sector, particularly in rural regions.
FCDC is a regional socio-economic bloc formed in 2016 by the member counties of Turkana, West Pokot, Lamu, Wajir, Isiolo, Tana River, Marsabit, Samburu, Garissa, and Mandera Counties to convene and coordinate activities aimed at accelerating the development of its member counties.
