WEST POKOT SHINES IN KICOSCA TOURNAMENT, KISUMU

The 9th KICOSCA edition of KICOSCA ended in a colorful ceremony at Kenyatta Stadium, Mambo leo in Kisumu.

The fete whose chief guest was Prof. Anyang Nyongo was attended by dignateries including Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja and Busia Governor paul Otuoma.

West Pokot County Scooped several trophies, two in folk dance where they emerged winners, table tennis and one in football where they grabbed position three after beating Nakuru four goals.

As a county, West Pokot is proud to have carried their flag high and took that opportunity to enlighten the country on the tourism and investment potential that it possesses.

Speaking during the closing ceremony, Mr. Edwin Pkemei who is the Chief officer for sports and youth affairs congratulated the staff for portraying sportsmanship and discipline of the highest order. He also thanked H.E. the Governor for blessing and allowing the department to organize and participate in the event. He emphasized on the need for the county staff to continue with sports after the event since it is part of a healthy leaving. He promised to improve sporting amenities and facilities in the county.
